Winter Wonderland

You can't have too much of a Winter Wonderland here in TX, but one day we did get 2-4" of snow. Unfortunately none of it stuck on the ground, but the girls had a fun time playing in it anyway. You can't see the snow too well in the picture, even Mackenzie loved trying to catch it on her tongue.

This weekend we decided to take advantage of an ice skating rink here in TX. When we told the girls we were going ice skating, Tori said, "It's a dream come true!" They both couldn't wait to put their skirts on and get those blades on. It was a little harder than Tori remembered since the last time we went was probably 4 years ago! Alyssa attacked it like anything new she tries: head on! She used a walker they had for the kids to hold on to and skate around, and we barely felt the breeze as she skated around trying to keep her balance. We could barely keep up with her. Tori managed pretty well holding on to the side and learning how to push off. Ben and I traded off holding Mackenzie.
Slow and steady!

I loved this picture because it showed Alyssa's crazy skating!
