For spring break this year we decided to take a family trip to DisneyWorld. We had a great time hanging out together and exploring most of the 4 parks. We couldn't believe how huge the whole area was! Here are a few pictures from our trip.
Day 1 & 2: Driving. . .

Smiling faces on the drive through LA, AL, MS, and FL.

Mackenzie sneaking candy and eating it under her blanket on the drive. We stayed at this pretty good hotel in Pensacola, FL and had some time on our hands after dinner. It was too chilly to swim in the outdoor pool, so we hopped into Chuck E. Cheese to play a few games. It was crazy busy and filled with all kinds of interesting people on a Saturday night! Not the funnest thing to do, but everyone had a good time for awhile.
Day 3: Magic Kingdom
We were at the park for opening at 8:00 a.m. Our very first ride, the classic Dumbo ride.

Of course we had to get Mackenzie a Mickey ear hat. She loved wearing it around the park.

Meeting Mickey and Minnie after riding Spash Mountain 2 times. Splash Mountain is one of Alyssa's favorites.
It's a Small World ride.

Dinner at 1900 Park Fair in the Grand Floridian. This was the Cinderalla character dinner where we met Cinderella, Prince Charming, the 2 step-sisters and Lady Tremaine. These were the funniest characters we met because they continually acted their part. Notice Lady Tremaine looking very dignified.

The gigantic cupcakes they gave the girls because we were celebrating their birthdays. After the cupcakes, they brought out a huge plate of ice cream with like 5 scoops on it for us to share. This was on top of the dessert bar at the buffet. We were all stuffed!
Day 4: Animal Kingdom

The Kalahari River Rapids in Animal Kingdom. Everyone got pretty wet the 2nd time without me even with the ponchos. How did that happen? Mackenzie even got to ride and loved it. She's the little speck in the seat next to Ben. Lots of fun things to do here. Had a great BBQ pork sandwich for lunch, did the Kilimanjaro Safari's, and finished the night with the Lion King show.

The Dino dig area was probably Mackenzie's favorite part. There is a whole play area and this "sand pit" that really has small pebbles so it's not quite as messy as sand. She could have filled her bucket 100 more times. Maybe we need to get some sand in our sandbox in the backyard?
Day 5: Magic Kingdom, again
The Astro Orbiter. We missed this one in Disneyland so it was a must this time around. One ride was enough for mom and dad though.

Lunch was at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort. It was a breakfast buffet complete with Mickey mini waffles.

Mackenzie finally got into the idea of meeting and taking pictures with all of the characters. She started giving all of them a hug. It was so cute! In the afternoon this day, we took a break and let the kids go swimming at our hotel and then everyone took a nap so we could be ready for the Electrical Parade.

The kids have heard the music for the Electrical Parade on our CD and finally got to see it. It was amazing and worth staying up for!
