Thanksgiving and Kira's 2nd Birthday

This year Kira's birthday happened to fall right on Thanksgiving.  We started the day with the tradition of Ben taking the girls in their pajamas to get donuts.  They look forward to this every year.  We hung around the house most of the day and Steve and Judy arrived in the afternoon.  We had a yummy Thanksgiving with all of us sitting in the dining room together.  We continued the tradition of having 3 candy corns put on our plates and saying what we are thankful for before we eat them.  After dinner, we had a  little Minnie Mouse party for Kira.
The closest we could get to a Minnie outfit: black shirt, pink polka dot skirt and cute headband.  She actually kept the headband on most of the time.  She liked it!
The girls were really accommodating and played along with the party games.  First we colored Minnie pictures.  Then I found these cute Minnie cut outs that came with stickers for clothes.  Each of the girls pulled out their Minnie ears from Disney to wear for the party.
Then we did a "cake walk" type game with Disney characters.
Next was pin the bow on Minnie.  We didn't want to blindfold Kira so she just did it with her eyes open.  She kept putting it on Minnie's ear which looked kind of cute too.
 Mackenzie giving it a try.
Time for opening presents.
She wanted to open and play with everything.  She was in heaven.

We got her the Minnie Mouse ride on bike, a remote control car, and a little phone.
Finally it was time for dessert.  The grown ups had pie and the kids had Minnie Mouse cupcakes.
 Feeding grandma.
Yum, Yum!
I say this every time I write a birthday post, but I can't believe my little baby is 2 now!
Reasons We Love Kira:
1.  She has a sweet and sensitive heart.  If she is doing something wrong, all I have to do is tell her no, no and she usually stops.  Sometimes bursting into tears at just the mention of no, no.
2.  She loves to have me read to her.  She could sit on my lap and read books forever.
3.  She has a funny, silly side where she tries to do things to make us laugh.
4.  She idolizes Mackenzie.  She often asks during the day where Mackenzie is, and if Mackenzie's doing it, she wants to do it.
5.  We love her cute round chipmunk cheeks that jiggle when she runs.
We love you Kira!
