We finally decided to head out to the Blue Bell factory and take a tour. It's something I've wanted to do since we've moved here, but we hadn't made time to make it happen yet. It was a lot of fun learning about the different types of ice cream they make, the packaging and how it get's to all the stores. They even give all the kids a sample cup of ice cream at the end.
Ready for the tour.
Enjoying ice cream with friends.
After the tour, we headed across the street to a little water park that was there and let the kids swim for a few hours. They had this fun little rope course thing where you held onto a rope and tried to walk across onto ice cream shaped floatation things. The kids did it over and over along with the waterslide they had there. It was small enough that the older girls could do their own thing and I could see them pretty well while Kira played in the more shallow area. It was a refreshing way to end a fun day.
