Can I just take a shower in peace?

Sorry, no picture with this one. You'll see why when you read further! So it's come to that point. I have a 10 month old who is terrified to be left alone in a room. My usual routine of getting ready in the morning includes taking a shower while Mackenzie plays in the bathroom with a bunch of toys that I throw about. Well, not now. She's cried some days while I've been taking a shower before, but yesterday we hit the pinnacle. I set her down with her toys and got in the shower. Her hysterical screaming started immediately and would not subside even though I sang several primary songs and tried to talk her through the apparent trauma of being separated from mom by a glass door. That clearly wasn't enough and being the resourceful and mischievous girl that she is she opened the shower door and managed to get her hand into the shower. That still wasn't enough because I was still so close, but apparently so far away. She proceeded to crawl into the shower, fully dressed (because I had just gotten her ready for the day) and got soaking wet. I finally realized in the middle of shampooing my hair that I wasn't going to get to finish this shower unless she was in there with me. So I let her crawl in and sit at the other end of the shower. She finally calmed down and didn't mind the water splashing in her face as long as mom is near. Oh well! I'm just going to have to manage my time differently and be sneaky about when I get a shower in these days!
