Seattle '09 Baby

We decided to take a last minute trip to Seattle for Labor Day Weekend to savor the last of the northwest. We had a fun filled, cram packed weekend with the typical beauty of the northwest and our fair share of rain. (That part we won't miss!) We were able to see the Pacific Science Center and catch an IMAX movie, go to the top of the Space Needle, ride the Monorail, see the San Juan Islands, drive to the top of Mt. Constitution on Orcas Island, see the Science Fiction Museum and Music Experience Project, Pike's Market (although the flying fish guys were closed for Labor Day), and the Seattle Aquarium. We also snuck in a couple of swim sessions in the hotel pool. Whew! Here are some pics of our fun adventures. It will be a trip we will always remember.
Guinea pigs spinning in their wheel at the Pacific Science Center.

On top of the Space Needle. Does Ben look worried!

Mackenzie the jelly fish at the Seattle Aquarium.

Feeling all the tide pool creatures.

Ferry to Orcas Island. The girls loved the ride.
Windy Mt. Constitution on Orcas Island. You can see Victoria, Canada!

The windy ferry ride. The girls loved it. You would have thought we were already in a hurricane!
