We've Made It!

Well, we are finally getting settled here in TX. Moving is never fun, least of all moving across the country. We were able to close on the house and move in on Wednesday as planned. It's just been a little chaotic trying to find places for all of our stuff! We even were given a great big star to put on our house. We're true Texans once we get that up.

Tori was able to start school today and had a great day. She had a few tears this morning, but her teacher was right there and took her right under her wing. She even called me later in the day to let me know that Tori had done great. She said the tears had stopped quickly and that she was making friends and having a good day. I think she's going to have a great year here.

As we've gone through this time of transition, our thoughts have reflected on the many friends we've made in the Northwest and the great times we've had. From ice storm game days, to Bandon beach trips, Thanksgiving and Christmas with holiday friends, serving in primary and young men's and so many other experiences in between so many of you have touched our lives in so many ways. It's hard to sum up the impact that you have had on our lives. We've laughed and learned so much from each of you. Thank you for your friendship! Stay tuned for more adventures from TX. . . .

You'll have great adventures in TX, no doubt. I'm still sad that there isn't a natural gas industry in Southern Cal. Has Ben thought about switching careers so you can move again and be closer to me? :) Transitions are rough, but the Johnsons can handle it.
