We had a fun Christmas here by ourselves this year. On Christmas Eve morning Ben took the girls in their pajamas to get donuts. (It's one of their favorite things to do!) Then we got ready and decorated gingerbread houses at a friends house. Later we had a big turkey dinner with all the fixins' (can say that now that we live in TX). After dinner we each took part in our traditional program. We each present something either a song, story, scripture etc. Tori and Alyssa did a little musical sing-a-long with a stuffed snowman. Mackenzie loved it! We sang a few Christmas songs and watched Mr. Kreuger's Christmas. We talked about the importance of giving and remembering Christ at this season. This year we encouraged the girls to really get into the spirit of giving and use their allowance (and a little bit of mom and dad's money) to get something special for their sisters. Surprisingly they were very excited about this. They both tried really hard to think of something for the other one. Alyssa gave Tori Dotza markers. Tori gave Alyssa her Digital Littlest Pet Shop game and pen. She also bought a necklace for me and mug for Ben from her school store. She really wanted to get something for everyone.
Christmas morning is always a magical time. The girls of course loved opening presents and thank you all to friends and family for your thoughtful and generous gifts! Mackenzie really got the hang of it this year and was thrilled when it was her turn to rip that paper off! Tori got a new bike from Santa, Alyssa a Barbie dollhouse, and Mackenzie a rocking horse that she is still afraid to ride. She has worked up to petting the horse and playing the music by pushing it's ear. Maybe someday she'll actually ride it!
Here are a few pics from Christmas 2009. (Note: My dad always took pictures of us on Christmas with all of our presents. I've kind of continued that tradition because to this day I can pinpoint the Christmas I got my Dukes of Hazard Big Wheel.)

Tori's Christmas!

Mackenzie's Christmas!

Opening presents. The $5 musical instrument set was a real hit with Mackenzie!

Sisterly love! Mackenzie loves to hug her sisters.

We had that same tradition- to take pictures with our Christmas gifts. I think it's great for record keeping purposes! Too bad we didn't get it done this year. That doll house looks like SO MUCH FUN! The pink beds with the purple curtains are tough to beat!
Looks like you had a wonderful Christmas. I can't wait to post our stuff. The girls are so cute.
Love all the pictures. Look like Christmas was great for the girls. I forgot to get a picture with the girls and all their stuff. That's such a great idea. Fun for them to look back on.
