Winter Break!

We enjoyed having Ben off work for a few days so we took the opportunity to see a few things around Houston. We visited Ben's work one day, went to the Children's Museum the next, and hit the Downtown Aquarium the next day. Whew! Here are a few general impressions. Ben's office is really, really high up. The Children's Museum here is amazing. The Downtown Aquarium was fun but relatively small. The girls liked riding the train and being scared by the pretend shark that pops up out of a pond. It gave us all a good jump, but they thought it was great.

Tori and Alyssa in a bubble under the sting ray pond. Alyssa was a little freaked, can't you tell?

The aquarium is staged like you're in an underwater ship. This is a treasure chest with fake jewels and gold that is glued into cement. The girls absolutely loved it and for a while it was hard to convince Alyssa to come look at the fish.
Tori refused to stand by the statue of a huge white tiger. I wonder why? The last exhibit at the aquarium is a white tiger. Huh? What's that about?

Mackenzie picking up a few things at the HEB grocery store at the Children's Museum.

Their favorite part of visiting dad's work is always the Office bobblehead figures and apple and earth stress balls.

White tigers at the aquarium? Kind of like a fish out of water... right?!

Wow looks like there is lots of fun stuff to do. I always love going around to all the new fun places when you move. Hopefully will see you soon and get to see some of it to.
