Tori was honored at a ceremony in November for her leadership characteristics among her peers. I got a call from her teacher the day before saying Tori was going to receive a Leader of the Pack award and that it would be a surprise for her. The Leader of the Pack Award is given each quarter for one boy and one girl from each class that demonstrate exceptional characteristics. The teachers elect a You Rock winner each week. Then the names of all the You Rock winners are put on a list and the kids in each class vote on the one boy and one girl that deserve the Leader of the Pack award. At the awards ceremony, Tori got an award for perfect attendance, having 100 AR points (a reading award), and the A honor roll. Then the principal read the Leader of the Pack awards. It was so fun to see the surprise on her face. I was so proud of her for all the awards she received. She is a hard worker and wants to do her best. It was nice to see that the other kids in her class recognize her as a leader as well. Congrats Tori!
Here she is getting the 100 AR points award. She was excited this one was a trophy not just a certificate. The picture for the Leader of the Pack award didn't turn out so good. Way to go Tori!
