Wax Museum

The 5th grade has a big social studies project in the spring where each student picks a historical figure to research and present. They are required to write a report, complete a timeline, and dress as the figure and stand still during a presentation time for the families. Tori picked Laura Ingalls Wilder which fits her perfectly for two reasons: Tori loves to read, and she has brown hair! It was a lot of work (as most big projects are), but the end result was really great. She had a red posterboard behind her with facts about Laura's life and covers of the books she wrote. We put some pretend grass stems behind her, and she sat holding some wildflowers dressed in pioneer clothing courtesy of a family in our ward. I think she made a cute Laura Ingalls Wilder.
