Utah Trip Aug. 2014

We were fortunate again to travel to Utah this year.  One of the reasons we decided to go in August was because it was my 20th high school reunion.  More on that later.  We had a great week visiting friends and catching up with family.  Ben joined us a few days after we arrived because he couldn't miss another week of work.  So I flew out with the girls on my own.  It was not too bad and they were really good helpers. 

Here is a random pic of Kira enjoying a yummy treat.  Our first day there we kind of hung out and visited with family.  We got to see my nephew Crew for the first time.  He was so adorable! 

The second day we were supposed to go to Cherry Hill, but the weather didn't cooperate.  On our way there, it started pouring rain.  We detoured and hung out at Boondocks, an indoor arcade area, and then in the afternoon we visited the Morrell's, some friends from TX that moved to Kaysville.  It was a quick visit, but we had a great time catching up a little bit.  Maddie is Tori's age and Grace is Alyssa's age and they picked right up where they left off.  Becca was the YW president here and my visiting teaching partner.  Gosh how we miss them. 

 

 

Ben arrived that night and the next day we went to Provo and got to visit with Great Grandma and Grandpa Johnson and go to BYU. 

 

That night we picked up my Uncle Morten who was visiting SL from Norway and brought him back to Aron's house for dinner.  We had a good time celebrating my mom's birthday a few month's later and hearing all about the family in Norway. 

 Hanging out and Grandma and Granpa Christensen's house one day.  Grandpa's latest thing was a box that has a little hand that sneaks up and grabs a quarter.  Mackenzie and Kira got a kick out of it and we got to bring one home.
