Washington D.C. Hazy Air & Space Museum & The Capitol Building

Here we decided to visity the Hazy Air & Space Museum. It was a museum we haven't been to and it has this airplane that magically changes into a Transformer robot in the movie. . . Cool. . .

A few of the other planes.  I love how they suspended so many of them all around the hanger.
 Space Shuttle Discovery.
Real Top Gun space suit.  Shout out to my brother, Erik!

 More cool planes.

This is the bomber that dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima in WWII.  There is a big sheet of plastic guarding the plane because Japanese tourists used to come and spit on the plane.
In the afternoon, we took the opportunity to take a tour of the U.S. Capitol building.  Beautiful architecture and very majestic.

They were working on the outside of the dome so they had this "donut" of fabric covering most of the ceiling inside.  So disappointing because it is so beautiful.

We were a little disappointed in this tour because we thought we get to see the actual floor where the Senators and Representatives sit.  Not so.  We saw some beautiful original paintings.
Signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The hall of statues.  Each state donates one statue.  This one is Sam Houston.
Brigham Young from Utah.  There were some neat parts (standing in one area and hearing the whisper of our tour guide across the room) of this tour but very different from our expectations.  Next time we'll try to get the "special" tickets from our Representative to get inside the cool spots.
