Utah Trip - Day 5

Saturday brought another trip to Provo. We were treated to a Norwegian breakfast by my cousin, David, and his cute family.  They are moving to Texas soon so hopefully we'll get to see even more of them.

There were several apricot trees out front and Alyssa and the girls loved picking up the perfectly ripe apricots that were falling from the trees.
The big event for the day was getting to attend Great Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's 70th wedding anniversary.  I have loved getting to know these wonderful people over the last 16 years since I've joined the Johnson family.  I love their spunk and practicality.  I love Grandma's canned peaches, Sunday roasts, and walnuts from their walnut tree.  I treasure the ceramic gifts and knitted hats we've been given over the years for Christmas made by their loving hands.  I loved playing Rook with them.  They are both mean card players!  They are still in love after all these years.
The whole Johnson clan that attended.  We got to spend a little time with Grandma and Grandpa Johnson (Ben's parents) since they came to the party as well.
They cut the cake and Grandma couldn't resist stuffing it in Granpa's mouth.
Grandpa did the same to her, but a little more politely.  I hope Ben and I get to recreate this moment 54 years from now!

How sweet is that. I love watching older couples and how cute they are with each other.
