This year we had sickness hit our family the week of Christmas. Ben came down with a sinus infection the week before Christmas and then the flu on the Saturday before Christmas. Alyssa had some other virus, not the flu. Kira had a similar virus as Alyssa and then Tori came down with strep throat. Mackenzie and I were the only ones that stayed immune. We did have an enjoyable Christmas day despite it all. We hung out in pj's most of the day, talked to family and played with toys. For Christmas Eve we enjoyed Omaha steaks that Ben got from a coworker. The girls did a funny skit that they made up with Tori's help called the Christmas Ninja's. They wore all black and played a Christmas pop song while they decorated a table with all kinds of Christmas stuff. Tori even printed out paper masks for them to wear. They didn't speak and had to be really silent. Kira even got to wear black and dance around with them. She loves feeling included in anything they do.

Mackenzie in her black mask practicing for the skit.
It was really cute. We sang a few Christmas songs and read the Nativity story in Luke to round out the night.
So sad. . . several pics of not happy kids.
Mackenzie's living it up in her Christmas PJ's the girls got on Christmas Eve.
Our tree. . you can tell this is on Christmas after we opened everything.
Another sick one.
Looking at stockings Christmas morning.
Kira's present from Tori and Alyssa. This year the girls each used their own money to buy something for each other. They had to budget and plan what they wanted to buy. I think it was a good learning experience for them.
This was the long tall box that the girls had been dying to know what it was. It was a broom set from Grandma Christensen!
Kira's toys. Rainbow bowling from Santa.
Alyssa got a carrying case for her American Girl dolls and a trip to the American Girl doll salon to get her doll's hair done and to have lunch at the Bistro.
Tori got a Caboodle case, makeup and new Converse shoes from Santa.
Mackenzie got a bike from Santa.
