Christmas Class Parties

Our Christmas season was full of many of the traditions we love to enjoy as a family at this time of year.  We've drove around and seen Christmas lights, went Christmas caroling (a first), read a Christmas book each night, had a mini devotional with scriptures associated with the events and people leading up to Christ's life, and the girls each bought presents for each other with their own money.  Mackenzie even sat on Santa's lap when he visited the Lake Club.  Alyssa didn't want to this year and Kira was too terrified to even give him a "high five." 

The girls area always excited for their class parties, and Mackenzie was particularly excited.  She's been able to attend parties for her sisters in the past, but this year she got to participate with her own class.  I helped with Alyssa's in the morning.  We had a pancake breakfast, the kids had a puzzle exchange, and then I was able to teach them how to make 3D snowflakes.  Ben was able to join us for a while as well.  Then we headed home for a little break and went back to the school to Mackenzie's party.  Santa himself made an appearance in her class.  She had been telling me if they were really good that Santa would come and visit.  Such a cute, special touch for their class.

This one is from Thanksgiving, but I threw it in here.  Mackenzie wouldn't take off this headband she made with feathers.  She loves it.  She absolutely loves her teacher, Ms. Lawrence.
