Mackenzie had a couple of school days that were special where she got to dress up. Kindergarten always has a 100 days of school parade where the kids and teachers dress up like old people and they parade around the school. The kids do all kinds of counting and learning activities with the number 100. This year the parade was just for parents and the kids walked around the gym. When it came down to it that morning, Mackenzie didn't want to dress up. I didn't really push the issue because none of my kids have wanted to do it. I guess at school her teacher managed to convince her to put baby powder in her hair to look like gray hair.
Mackenzie's teacher, Miss Lawrence. Don't let her fool you, she's really about 24.
Some kids go all out with canes and bow ties. The one shot she let me get of her walking around the gym.
The kindergarten team.
The other dress up day was Go Texan Day. This is big here with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and luckily we had this outfit from her Halloween costume from last year. I thought she looked so cute even if the boots were a little tight! She insisted on wearing them.
