This was our first meet, and I believe this happened to be a random heat where Mackenzie and one other girl were the only ones up to swim. The other girl wouldn't get in the water so Mackenzie swam it alone and did great!
On the ready block!
There's a tradition of writing on each other's backs. It says "Seals" which is for their swim team, the Imperial Oaks Seals. Then it says "Eat my bubbles" and "Girls Rule".
The whole team. . . sort of. This was picture day and really only about 2/3 of the team was there. I didn't order any pictures, but Mackenzie is in the middle bottom row in a black suit, and Alyssa's in the 3rd row on the right side.
This is basically how Mackenzie feels about swim right now and especially me taking her picture during swim. This is where they line the kids up by age and in order of when they swim.
Then they walk the kids to the "ready bench" where they sit on their number which represents the lane they will swim in. Again, not liking getting her picture taken.
They make the younger groups hold shoulders so they stay in the right order. I think Mackenzie looks so cute with her pink cap and goggles.
