The Boosterthon Fun Run is a fundraiser Alyssa's school does every year. The kids collect donations for how many laps they can run. Each day the guys teach the kids a positive concept like having character, being positive and other moral lessons. Then on Friday, they run this track that the Fun Run guys set up with music, banners, and tunnels. The guys are a lot of fun and really enthusiastic. It's a really fun event for the kids. Being room mom this year, I was involved even more than before. Each class is supposed to decorate their door to coordinate with the theme which this year was "Highway USA." We decorated the door with zebra's and a sign that said "We're Racing Our Stripes Through the USA". The kids were Mrs. Haggard's Racing Stripes like the zebra in the movie so we painted their shirts with zebra stripes and tied the girls' hair with zebra print ribbons. Here are a few pics from the day. They stop counting laps for donations at 35, but Alyssa loves to see how many she can do. This year she got to 42!

Here she is taking a quick break. You can see the zebra stripes we painted on the sleeves and the front of the shirt.
Drinking on the go. Even at 8:00 a.m. it was hot and muggy!
Kira wore her zebra print onesie and tutu to get in on the action. The pacifier helped since all the loud music and cheering was a little upsetting.
The whole class of Racing Stripes!

What a fun run to do. Love the shirts. our school is doing a running club this year that the kids are in. But your run looks like tons of fun.
It looks like Texas is treating you well. I love seeing what you guys are up to. It seems like you have only been gone for a couple of years. Time flies.
