She's Crawling!

It's official.  As of Aug. 22nd, Kira started crawling!  It's been so fun to see her figure it all out little by little.  First it was pushing up with her bum in the air on all fours.  Then she got where she put her knees under herself.  Then she would move a little, fall down and roll over to get where she wanted to go.  Then she started little by little moving her knees a couple of times before falling forward.  Then she put the arm movement with it.  Now she is pretty quick.  She still falls forward occasionally when she goes too fast for herself, but she can move from room to room.  In a matter of about a week with sheer determination and a lot of encouragement from us she figured it all out.  She gets so excited and squeels with delight when we try to get her to crawl to us.  She is so proud of herself.  I've also noticed just the last couple of days she's been pulling up on things as well.  All of the other girls were somewhat late crawlers and early walkers, and it looks like Kira may follow in their footsteps.  On Sunday morning after she woke up from her morning nap, I found her crying while she was standing up holding onto the railing of her crib.  I think she was scared and couldn't get down!  So fun to watch this little girl progress and grow! Here's a video of one of her early attempts.
