NHPA Winter Dance Recital

Alyssa's performed in her winter recital on Dec. 15th.  This was a more casual and shorter recital than the spring one.  The younger classes could all pick their own costume in Christmas colors, and it was really fun to see what all the kids came up with.  (We ended up borrowing this red leotard from a friend.)  I loved that Alyssa wanted me to curl her hair.  She had two pieces: a jazz routine called "Step Into Christmas" and a ballet routine from the Nutcracker.  She was nervous because she didn't feel like she knew the dances as well, but she did really great.  Dad had to sit this one out because he was recovering from his hernia surgery.  We're so proud of our little dancer!
With a few friends backstage: Teia Johnson and Madisen Carruth.
Me and my beautiful dancer!
