Thanksgiving Week with the Christensens

We were thrilled when my sister-in-law, Jalyssa, and her 3 kids were able to come and visit us over Thanksgiving Break.  My girls haven't seen their cousins in a while and they loved playing together and catching up.
Tuesday we had a leisurely breakfast and then headed up to Pump-It-Up, an indoor bounce house place, for some jumping fun.  The cousins loved hanging out together and doing these trains as they'd go down the slide together.  Then it was off to Chick-fil-A for lunch, always a hit.

Alyssa and Erik playing air hockey.  These two are good buddies and are only a few weeks apart.

Then we went to the Woodlands and showed them the waterway by taking a water taxi ride.  It ended up being kind of a busy day, but we had a great time hanging out together.

Playing Happy Action Theater on the Kinect.  This was a real hit all week!
Erik and Kysha pulling Kira on her little riding bike.  She absolutely loved all the free rides as well.
On their last day with us.

Girl time.

On Wednesday we headed to North Shore Park for a picnic lunch and fun.  Kira loves swinging.

The kids on one of the piers.
Then we headed to Kobe, a Japanese tepanyaki restaurant, for dinner.
We had a great chef who was full of funny tricks.
 Erik loved all the action!

Grandma and Grandpa Johnson joined us for Thanksgiving dinner.  This is the only picture I have of that day.  Apparently we were too busy preparing food to worry about pictures.  Before dinner we snuck in a movie.  Ben stayed with Kira so she could nap, and the rest of us enjoyed "Rise of the Guardians." We had a great meal complete with Turkey, mashed potatoes, fresh green beans, fruit salad, stuffing, cranberry sauce, homemade rolls, and 2 pies and a pumpkin crumble.  It was great to have a full house and recognize all our blessings at this time of year.
