We've had some warm weather recently and decided one weekend in February to spend some time doing "family yard work." What that means is it's time to weed and clean out our flower beds in the backyard. It's short lived since usually there is a lot of complaining, but we promised the girls if there was no complaining this time they could play outside afterwards. They were so excited to do a garden party. They brought out the card table and chairs and decorated it all fancy. Then they pulled out any food that seemed like it would belong at a garden party: salad, almonds, turkey and cheese sandwiches, lemonade etc. They all got dressed in their Sunday dresses and enjoyed their party. They just sat and ate and talked for about an hour. It was really cute.
