2nd Annual Johnson Family Ice Cream Cone Party

We hosted our annual Ice Cream Cone party this year on Sept. 27th!  We're on a roll!  We had a little bit of a problem because the Friday evening it was originally scheduled for it was pouring rain.  We e-mailed as many people as we could in the afternoon and then put up a sign on our garage saying we were postponing until the next week.  The next Friday was beautiful and we still had a good turn out, although not as many as I would have suspected if we hadn't been rained out.  We got a little smarter this year and bought smaller containers of ice cream so the ice cream wouldn't melt as quickly.  We also bought a few sugar cones and those went fast as well.  We passed out about 60 invitations, and I'd estimate we served about 100 ice cream cones.
The new ice cream cone banner I made.  Hopefully this will last a few years!
Water table where I had the book that tells the story of how Italio Marchiony got the first U.S. Patent for the ice cream cone.
Neighbors visiting.  Menchaca's with Rachel Smith, Marta Isaac, and Kristy Lewis.
Reed Spencer, Bill Carruth, Darrin Smith, and Emilee Carruth.
