Dad's 80th Birthday Party

The main reason we went to Utah in August this year was to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday.  We wanted to have a big party and invite anyone and everyone in the family and community that knows him.  We had the party on Saturday, Aug. 10th from 5-7.  We had a whole buffet of rolls, lunch meats and cheeses, fruit trays, vegetable trays and cookies.  Jalyssa helped do the decorations and we had pens and cards on each table so anyone could write a note.  There were also bubbles and fortune cookies as party favors.  Dad sat at the end of a table that had several items from his life.  It was a fun event and brought out a lot of people I hadn't seen for a long time.  Old friends and neighbors that had moved away and cousins I don't get to see a lot when we come to visit.

The guys went early and helped set up the chairs.  (Kent helped too, just not pictured.)
The whole set up.  There was a video that Aron made of Dad's life in the back corner.

Centerpieces had a flag in a jar with jewels inside and each table had 2 pictures of dad throughout his life.
