This year, Ben and I went on a trip for his work to Williamsburg, VA while the girls were having their Fun Run. Judy was kind enough to come and watch them for a few days. Each year, their elementary school has this one big fundraiser. The kids ask for pledges from friends and family based on how many laps they will run. Usually they run about 35 laps around a track. The Fun Run guys, as they are called, come to the school and talk about different positive character traits like being a good sport etc. The race day is a lot of fun. The kids all wear a shirt (embellished by the room moms) and race around a track. We always have awesome weather and they play fun music and make the event really fun. Mackenzie had come down with strep on Monday, so her teacher didn't have her run very much the day of the race. She still looked way cute with her hair and fun run shirt. Since we couldn't be there this year, a friend took a few pictures for me.

Alyssa as part of team Mrs. Carter's Campers. Each class comes up with a team name and the room mom has to decorate the door and decorate the shirts in some way. I won't lie, it's the part I really don't like about being a room mom. Too much competitiveness. I'm Alyssa's room mom this year, but I had some help with the shirts.
Mackenzie's class were the Shining Stars. Nice pose by Mackenzie on the end there.
I laughed so hard when I saw this girls' hair! Apparently the mom's brought in some spray hair coloring! Love her dimples!
