Storybook Parade

Another fun tradition that the elementary school does is the Storybook parade.  The kids dress up like a storybook character, which really means any character from a book, and they hold their book and walk around the school for parents and the other classes.  It kind of takes the place of the Halloween parades we used to have in elementary school.  This year Alyssa was a black cat from the book, "If You Give A Cat a Cupcake" and Mackenzie was Izzy from "Jake and the Neverland Pirates".  It's really a TV show, but we happen to have a book as well so it counts!
