Here's a few pictures of the party set up.
Each kid got to dress up as a Pirate when they came in. They could either be Jake with a red bandana or Izzy with a pink bandana and pixie dust pouch.
When the kids first came in they got to decorate a treasure box with jewel stickers and letters for their names. Then each child got to walk the plank. Watch out for Tick Tock Crock! Improvised from plastic tablecloths!
Most of the kids wanted to do this a couple of times each.
Next we had a cannon ball fight. We divided the kids up into 2 teams and they were supposed to shoot their cannons (black balloons) at the other ship. Well, because it was so hot, as soon as the balloons hit the grass they popped. So this game lasted all of 30 seconds. Should have done it inside!
Next was a scavenger hunt that took them to different places around the house and yard. At each stop they'd collect gold dubloons. Tori had fun helping coordinate this game.
Finding another treasure. X marked the spot in the sandbox where each child got to dig for jewels, necklaces, and more gold dubloons for their treasure chest.
A close up of our snacks. We had fruit, cheese cannon balls and cupcakes with Jake and the Neverland Pirate toppers. Mackenzie had to jump in on the photo!
Enjoying snacks with friends. L to R around the table. Olivia Spencer, Bree Johnson, Brooklyn Carruth, Ruby Smith, and Ella Boyce. At the back table were Jacob Howard, Madison Mayhew, Dallin Dockstader and Kaitlyn Bates.
The cute birthday girl in her Izzy outfit.
Opening the presents.
Another picture of Mackenzie with all her presents from the family.
We love Mackenzie because:
1. She brings an energy and fun to our home with her bouncy energetic personality.
2. She loves to learn and is soaking up anything she can from letters, to math.
3. She is a great big sister to Kira. She likes to help her and be her buddy.
4. We love her smile and giggle. She has so much energy and excitement.
5. Even though she's busy, she loves to sit and read stories with mom.
